Project Leader: Adam Rankin
The Project aims at building participative solutions for water crises, where local people has the ability to implement management schemes that incorporate traditional and institutional knowledge, dialogue, territorial planning and locally developed technologies.
In order to achieve this, the project is developing a pilot demonstration program with the Association of Peasant Women from Lebrija, especially to find practical solutions to water deficit for food production. The pilot scheme has several dominant work areas such as environmental education, recollection of rainfall, low flow irrigation systems, clean water and drainage technologies, diversity of livestock and crops, soil erosion prevention and the improvement of institutional dialogue.
