Dear Participants,

On behalf of the Cusco Meeting Organizers, the International Potato Center (CIP), is grateful to the countries, organizations and major groups who have participated in the E-consultation on the Cusco Action Plan.

This three-week rich global debate was facilitated in three languages by CONDESAN-InfoAndina, the Latin American Node of the Mountain Forum, hosted at CIP in Lima (Peru), with support from the Mountain Forum Secretariat, the Mountain Forum Regional Nodes (North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific), and the Interim Secretariat of the Mountain
Partnership (Rome).

The debate provided a participatory platform for 50 partnership members: countries (20), major groups (25), and international organizations (5), who participated actively in the E-discussion, sharing their insight regarding the Mountain Partnership objectives, structure, and future perspectives. Several proposals have been submitted that will serve as
an input to the work of the panels in the II Meeting of the International Mountain Partnership to take place in Cusco next month.

We are grateful to the moderators of this E-Consultation: Victor Mares (CIP) and Ana Maria Ponce (CONDESAN-InfoAndina), who have conducted the rich debate over the past weeks. This is an example of collaborative platforms to foster mutual support among regional information networks for sustainable development of mountain regions.

We look forward to welcome the Mountain Partnership members in Cusco next month!

Au nom des organisateurs de la réunion de Cuzco, le Centre international de la pomme de terre (CIP), remercie les pays, organisations et grands groupes qui ont participé à la consultation électronique sur le plan d’action de Cuzco.
Ce débat fructueux sur trois semaines en trois langues a été facilité par CONDESAN-InfoAndina, le noeud d’Amérique latine du Forum de la montagne, accueilli par le CIP à Lima (Pérou), avec le soutien du Secrétariat du Forum, des nœuds régionaux du Forum (Amérique du Nord, Europe et Asie-Pacifique), et du Secrétariat provisoire du Partenariat de la montagne (Rome).

Le débat a offert une plateforme pour la participation de 50 membres du Partenariat: pays (20), grands groupes (25), et organisations internationales (5), qui ont pris une part active à la discussion, partageant leurs vues sur les objectifs, la structure et les perspectives futures du Partenariat. Plusieurs propositions ont été lancées qui serviront d’apport aux travaux des groupes dans la deuxième réunion du Partenariat international de la montagne qui se tiendra à Cuzco le mois prochain.

Nous remercions les modérateurs de cette Consultation: Victor Mares (CIP) et Ana Maria Ponce (CONDESAN-InfoAndina), qui ont conduit le riche débat ces dernières semaines. Ceci constitue un exemple de plateforme participative propre à encourager la synergie entre les réseaux régionaux d’information pour la mise en valeur durable des régions de montagne.

Nous espérons accueillir de nombreux membres du Partenariat à Cuzco le mois prochain!
