 Un cordial saludo a los participantes de este importante foro. Aunque un poco tarde, deseo complementar el comentario de T.Villarroel con respecto a las papas nativas de Chiloe. Aprecio el trabajo que estan haciendo los proefesionales del CET. Creo que es valioso. En Puno, Peru, venimos realizando un seguimiento de variedades en papa (siembra - cosecha) en campos de pequenhos agricultores desde 1990 a la fecha. Si bien es cierto que la muestra es pequeña, por falta de fondos (en oca, hay una muestra mas grande), la informacion que vamos regsitrando con los agricultores nos va indicando alta "movilidad o dinamica" de las variedades de papa de un anho para otro, entre campos de los mismos agricultores, a ni vel de comunidad y a nivel de ferias semanales tradicionales. Aqui tambien se introduce material genetico mejorado y, este es introducido por las familias  en una forma secuencial en sus "mezclas varietales". Es cierto tambien que la introduccion de este material afecta la variabilidad genetica de las especies nativas. Lo importante quizas es poder tener algun criterio de como es esto en el tiempo (5, 10 20 o mas anhos).

A cordial greeting to the participants of this important forum. Although a little late, I wish to complement the observation of T.Villarroel with respect to the native potatoes of Chiloe. I appreciate the work that are doing CET. I believe that it is valuable. In Puno, Peru, we are carrying out a variety monitoring in potato (seeding--harvest) in small farmer fields since 1990 to date. Despite the fact that the sample is small, for lack of funds (in oca, there is a larger sample), the information that we go regsitrando with the farmers is indicating us high "mobility or dynamic" of the varieties of potato of an anho for another one, between fields of the same farmers, to level of community and at the level of traditional weekly fairs. Here also it is introduced improved genetic material and, this is introduced by the families in a sequential form in its "mixtures varietales." Is certain also that the introduction of this material affects the genetic variability of the native species. What is important perhaps is to be able to have some criterion of as it is this in the time (5, 10 20 or more years).
